Job Title: Engineer – Web Application & Network Protection
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Web Application & Network Protection to lead the design, implementation, administration, and support of enterprise web and network security solutions. This role is responsible for securing internet-facing applications using Web Application Firewall (WAF), API security, bot protection, and network security technologies. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in application security, network security, and cloud security, with experience protecting critical enterprise services.
Key Responsibilities
Web Application Security
Design, implement, administer, and support F5 Distributed Cloud (XC) WAF platform.
Configure and maintain WAF policies, signatures, and security controls.
Implement and manage:
API Protection
Bot Defense
DDoS Mitigation
Geolocation Policies
Rate Limiting
Custom WAF Challenges
Tune WAF policies to reduce false positives.
Support application onboarding into WAF services.
Perform policy reviews and continuous optimization.
Participate in incident response involving web application attacks.
Threat Protection
Protect enterprise applications against:
OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
Injection attacks
Credential stuffing
Clickjacking
Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)
Application Security
Review application architectures and recommend security improvements.
Collaborate with application development teams during application onboarding and troubleshooting.
Network Security
Support and manage:
Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
Network segmentation
Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs
Firewall rule management
Network security policies
Security implementation
Network troubleshooting
Respond to security incidents and participate in an on-call rotation.
Security Operations
Monitor and report on enterprise security posture.
Automate repetitive operational security tasks where possible.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of Cybersecurity or Network Security experience.
3+ years of hands-on Web Application Firewall (WAF) experience.
