Our firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal and/or Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in a fast-paced personal injury practice. The ideal candidate is organized, strong verbal communication skills, and experienced in the litigation process from filing through trial preparation.
This is an in-office position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day.
Responsibilities
E-file legal documents in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
Prepare Complaints regarding motor vehicle accident and premises liability cases
Conduct legal research
Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Prepare discovery documents, including Interrogatories and responses
Coordinate scheduling of Depositions
Assist Paralegals with preparing for Trial
Maintain Attorney's calendar
Prepare Subpoenas
Draft pleadings and correspondence
Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and other relevant documents
Qualifications
At least 4 years of litigation experience
Paralegal certificate or a Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or another relevant degreepreferred
Experience e-filing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
Knowledge of Neos Case Management Software or other related case managementsoftware
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to meet deadlines and multitask effectively
