Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care by assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. You will perform diagnostic evaluations, administer respiratory therapies, manage mechanical ventilation, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care to patients across a variety of clinical settings.
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway evaluations, and cuff pressure monitoring.
- Conduct diagnostic testing to evaluate respiratory function and monitor treatment effectiveness.
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with the placement, maintenance, and management of artificial airways.
- Initiate, monitor, troubleshoot, and manage invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and assist with airway management during resuscitation efforts.
- Safely transport ventilator-dependent patients while maintaining respiratory support.
- Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain respiratory equipment and ensure proper operation according to established standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, practices, and patient care standards.
- Proficiency in managing invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
- Experience performing respiratory assessments and diagnostic testing.
- Skilled in administering oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments.
- Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Pay: $30.34 - $41.50 per hour
