Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. - Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on personalized care plans developed by BCBAs
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, skill acquisition, and progress to inform ongoing treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and communication skills development
- Support clients during therapy sessions by reinforcing positive behaviors and managing challenging behaviors using behavior management techniques
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality
- Collaborate with team members to update and review care plans, ensuring consistency in service delivery
- Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages client engagement and promotes growth in social, communication, and adaptive skills
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral therapy techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards related to behavioral health is a plus
- Strong communication skills and patience are essential for working effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining flexibility in dynamic settings
