About the Role:
The Nurse Practitioner will serve as a vital healthcare provider delivering comprehensive family medicine services with a focus on pain management, geriatrics, and pediatrics. This role involves conducting thorough clinical assessments to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions while prioritizing patient safety and quality care. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of diverse patient populations. Emphasis will be placed on trauma-informed care and evidence-based nursing practices to optimize patient outcomes. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance patient well-being through compassionate, skilled, and holistic healthcare delivery across the lifespan.
Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Job Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical histories.

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.

Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and other medical evaluations.

Prescribe medications and treatments under applicable Texas laws and delegation agreements.

Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.

Provide preventive care services, including wellness exams, screenings, immunizations, and health education.

Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and cardiovascular disease.

Perform office-based procedures within the practitioner's training and scope of practice.

Refer patients to specialists and coordinate continuity of care.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Ensure compliance with Texas Board of Nursing regulations, clinic policies, HIPAA requirements, and quality standards.
Participate in quality improvement activities and clinical staff meetings.
Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine

Current Texas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.

Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the applicable specialty.

Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.

DEA registration and Texas prescribing authority (or eligibility to obtain).

BLS certification; ACLS preferred depending on clinic specialty.
