We are looking for a dependable, compassionate team member for our night shift at Mended Women Lifestyle Recovery and provide care for residents as they continue their journey toward recovery, health, and well-being.
- Location: Mended Women Lifestyle Recovery in Abingdon
- Schedule: 6 pm - 6 am, every other weekend

Essential Job Functions
- Provide oversight of residents and support program implementation.
- Interact appropriately with clients while following agency policies and procedures, the Employee Code of Ethics, and assigned shift responsibilities.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, orderly facility and resident areas.
- Assist nursing staff with gathering client information and medication administration, when certified.
- Respond to medical emergencies and potential crisis situations using approved methods, including CPR, first aid, universal precautions, Therapeutic Options, and other program procedures.
- Support clinical staff by helping carry out the daily program schedule and supervising residents during assigned educational activities, videos, and exercises.
- Assist the Food Services Department as requested, including preparing meals as assigned.
- Provide security services as needed, primarily during third or late shifts.
- Help ensure the safety and security of residents, staff, the facility, and physical property.
- Use nonviolent crisis intervention techniques when intervention is required, following Therapeutic Options certification protocols and appropriate assessment of the situation.
- Intervene according to program policies and procedures when a resident is experiencing distress, is in crisis, or presents a danger to self or others.
- Report any legal intervention or arrest, including traffic violations, to the supervisor in writing or by email within 24 hours of the offense.
- Maintain knowledge of confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
- Complete all training required by VA DBHDS licensing for work in a residential behavioral health setting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Dependable attendance and weekend availability are required.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- CNA and/or Medication Administration certification preferred.
- Background check must confirm eligibility to work in a direct care setting in Virginia.
- Drug screening is required.
