Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The estimator position uses experience and learned skills to create various estimates within our internal systems. By using provided software, an estimator will work through creating a take-off using predetermined settings, prices and materials.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to create take-off in our internal system
- Problem-solve with the ability to work through situations to the end
- Work with the Estimating & Sales teams to complete projects in a timely manner
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Position Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in estimating / take-off experience in the construction industry preferred
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Detail oriented
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Critical thinking
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods and practices
- Time management skills
- Strong work ethic
- Organized
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in applicable field desired
