Security Officer College Campus Patrol
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns.

Monitor access points and verify approved entry procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries while maintaining professional communication and documentation.

Support Allied Universal and site personnel by communicating important information, documenting daily activities, and assisting with requested security-related tasks consistent with post responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
