Position Summary: The School Nurse provides professional nursing services to support the physical, mental, and emotional health of students in order to maximize student attendance, wellness, and academic success. The School Nurse promotes a safe and healthy school environment while ensuring compliance with Texas public school health regulations and nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications
· Graduate of an accredited nursing program
· Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
· Current CPR/AED certification
· Ability to meet all Texas public school and nursing practice requirements
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
· Experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing
· Knowledge of special education and Section 504 health supports
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff
· Assess and respond to illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies
· Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district procedures
· Monitor and support students with chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, seizures, and severe allergies
· Maintain accurate student health records and ensure confidentiality
· Support immunization compliance and required health screenings
· Develop and implement individualized health care plans and emergency action plans
· Collaborate with parents, campus staff, physicians, and community agencies regarding student health needs
· Train staff on health-related procedures and emergency response protocols
· Promote health education, wellness, and a safe school environment

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
