What You’ll Do
· Program using Fusion 360 CAM.
· Machine prototype and low-volume production parts.
· Develop machining strategies for 3+2 indexed machining and multi-axis work.
· Design and build custom fixtures, soft jaws, and workholding solutions.
· Select, order, and manage cutting tools and manufacturing supplies.
· Set up, prove out, and optimize CNC programs.
· Operate and maintain CNC and manual machine shop equipment.
· Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
· Collaborate with the team to improve manufacturability
· Provide input on product designs, manufacturing methods, tooling, and process improvements.
· Help develop manufacturing standards and best practices as the company grows.
· Keep the shop organized, safe, and operating efficiently.
Equipment You’ll Work With
· Haas 5-axis machining center
· Fusion 360 CAD/CAM
· Standard shop equipment ie, Drill press, Bandsaws, Grinders, Hand tools, etc
· Standard inspection equipment ie, calibers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc
· Additional CNC equipment as our shop continues to grow
Required Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience.
· Experience programming with Fusion 360.
· Experience with 3+2 indexed machining.
· Experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers.
· Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies.
· Ability to read engineering drawings.
· Ability to properly used basic metrology equipment
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
· Willingness to collaborate, share ideas, and continuously improve processes.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Haas machining centers.
· Experience with simultaneous 5-axis machining.
· Prototype, R&D, or custom machine shop experience.
· CAD modeling experience in Fusion 360.
· Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, engineering plastics, and other specialty materials.
