Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed during food handling and service
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting dining areas to prepare for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a memorable experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and payments
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Culinary experience or food industry knowledge that supports efficient serving and food handling
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Familiarity with food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food preparation techniques
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable for guest relations excellence
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
- Experience working in a nightclub or hospitality environment is a plus
