An established post-acute and long-term care organization is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong nursing leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care while supporting and developing a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, promote clinical excellence, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and resident-centered care.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services within the facility.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
Lead, mentor, and develop nursing managers and clinical staff.
Monitor quality measures and implement performance improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve positive clinical outcomes.
Maintain survey readiness and oversee plans of correction when necessary.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and labor resources to support quality resident care.
Partner with physicians, residents, families, and community stakeholders to ensure exceptional service.
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years of Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey processes, and infection prevention standards.
Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
