American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Bone Marrow Transplant ICU position requiring strong ICU experience with drip titration and ventilator management on night shift.

Work in the Transplant ICU (Oncology ICU) of a hospital environment
-
10-bed unit with typical staffing of a charge nurse and RNs based on census
-
Patient ratio of 2:1
-
Uses Vent, CRRT, A-line, Bipap, Flow-track, and IV pump equipment
-
Meditech EMR used
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Rotating weekends required
-
Floating required to all ICUs, PCU, and BMT units
-
Active RN license (Texas or Compact) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
-
Current NIH Stroke Certification required for BMT ICU
-
1 year of recent ICU experience required
-
Strong ICU experience including titrating drips and managing ventilated patients required

Experience caring for BiPAP patients required
-
CRRT experience preferred
-
Transplant experience (Kidney, Pancreas, Liver) preferred

No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Provide total care for critically ill patients including turning, titrating drips, dressing changes, and trach care

Compassionate personality with strong ability to work well with others and maintain good rapport with physicians

Blue scrubs required per dress code

Report at 0645/1845 with clock in/out for lunch breaks

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
