Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to RUN a CASELOAD!
Grigor Law Group is hiring an experienced New York personal injury attorney who can take full ownership of a caseload and aggressively move cases from assignment through settlement/resolution.
Candidates must have direct experience independently handling a Plaintiffs’ personal injury caseload. This is not an entry-level position or a role for an attorney whose experience has been limited to assisting with files. The successful candidate must understand how to evaluate, litigate, negotiate, and resolve Plaintiffs’ personal injury cases.
This position is for a producer, not an attorney who waits for deadlines, depends on staff to direct the file, or allows cases to sit.
The right candidate must be able to:
- Independently manage a substantial plaintiffs’ personal injury caseload
- Analyze liability, damages, treatment, coverage, and case value
- Maintain control of discovery, depositions, motion practice, negotiations, and deadlines
- Communicate effectively with clients and support staff
- Pressure insurance carriers and consistently move cases toward maximum value
New and newly assigned cases must be fully reviewed within one week, with a written assessment of liability, treatment, insurance information, red flags, and the immediate action plan.
Attorneys are also required to provide a concise weekly report addressing:
- Answers received
- Bills of Particulars and discovery outstanding
- Cases in active settlement negotiations
- Pending opposition and reply deadlines
- Motions that should be made, etc.
The successful candidate will work alongside aggressive, accomplished trial attorneys, take ownership of high-value cases, sharpen their litigation and negotiation skills, and learn how to turn strong files into serious results within a fast-moving, high-performance plaintiffs’ personal injury firm.
The right candidate must know their inventory, policy limits, treatment status, litigation posture, settlement opportunities, and immediate next steps, not simply focus on a handful of cases at a time.
Dedicated litigation staff, medical support staff, and firm resources are provided to maximize efficiency. The attorney remains responsible for the strategy, movement, and outcome of every assigned file.
Proficiency with SA or similar case-management systems, email, electronic filing, and digital document review are essential. Additionally, must be organized, can multitask, maintain command of an entire caseload while tasking proper staff, and moving seamlessly between files throughout the day.
Compensation and Offering:
- Competitive base compensation
- Bonuses $$ based on fees generated on cases personally resolved
- Competitive 40% origination compensation on personally originated cases referred
- Substantial additional earning potential through production and originated business
