Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring to ensure timely meal assembly
- Assist in cooking and food preparation following established recipes and menu plans
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination
- Support catering events by preparing dishes and assisting with setup and serving as needed
- Follow kitchen safety protocols, including knife skills and proper equipment use
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth meal preparation and efficient service flow
Skills
- Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly beneficial
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of menu planning, food handling, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
