Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Safety Specialist to champion workplace safety and occupational health initiatives across our manufacturing facilities. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety programs that ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations, and workers' compensation laws. Your expertise will foster a safe, healthy, and compliant environment for all team members, while promoting a culture of continuous safety improvement. Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety protocols aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations to ensure a safe manufacturing environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Provide training & development sessions on occupational health, emergency response procedures such as CPR and First Aid, proper equipment use, and safety best practices.
- Manage workers' compensation claims processes in accordance with applicable laws, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
- Prepare detailed report writing on safety incidents, audit findings, training sessions, and compliance status for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards and occupational health principles.
- Certified in First Aid and CPR; additional certifications such as EPA compliance or EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law and reporting procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective corrective action plans.
- Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail; ability to communicate complex safety concepts clearly.
- Strong training & development skills to educate employees at all levels on safety protocols.

Pay: $51,924.28 - $55,000.00 per year
