Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced General carpenter to join our construction team. This role offers the opportunity to apply your extensive carpentry and construction expertise in residential and restoration projects. All candidates will start at $18.00 per hour and be given a 2 week period to showcase there skills and knowledge of the trades. After the 2 week period, we will negotiate wages and you will be paid based on the value you bring to the team.
Duties
- Perform framing, window/door installation, siding, drywall , paint, trim, cabinetry, lvp flooring, tile, and finishing work with precision using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct remodeling tasks including demolition, restoration industry procedures, and mold remediation when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical construction plans and ensure compliance with safety standards on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or related fields with a focus on residential projects.
- Be on time and reliable, willing to work at a steady and reasonable pace and find an efficient process for every project.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools for woodworking
- Familiarity with wood construction materials such as siding, trim, cabinetry, and fixtures.
- Experience in caulking, fixture installation, and remodeling processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail throughout all phases of construction work.
- Prior experience working on construction sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward project completion.
