Position #1: Equipment Operator / Driver
Job Summary:
Great Lakes Lawn & Landscape, LLC is a small, family-owned company looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our team. We are looking for someone with experience operating SKs, skid steers, and excavators who can also safely drive a truck and trailer.
We do residential and commercial work and typically travel within a 3-hour radius of Monroe County. Our work includes excavation, landscaping, grading, sod installation, and other outdoor projects.
Responsibilities:
Operate skid steers, excavators, and other equipment safely and efficiently
Load, haul, and unload materials and equipment
Drive trucks and trailers to and from job sites
Assist with excavation, grading, landscaping, and other projects as needed
Perform basic equipment checks and help keep equipment clean and maintained
Work safely and efficiently as part of a small team
Assist with general labor when needed
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
Travel to job sites, sometimes up to 3 hours from Monroe County
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating skid steers and excavators required
Experience towing and hauling with a truck and trailer
CDL preferred, but not required
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Dependable and willing to work
Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Able to perform physical labor when needed
Good attitude and ability to work well with others
Experience with landscaping, excavation, or construction is a plus

Position #2: Landscaping / General Laborer
Job Summary:
Great Lakes Lawn & Landscape, LLC is looking for a dependable, hardworking laborer to join our small, family-owned company. The job involves helping with landscaping and outdoor projects, including laying sod, raking, shoveling, moving materials, and using a variety of hand tools. We work on both residential and commercial projects and typically travel within a 3-hour radius of Monroe County.
Responsibilities:
Help install sod and prepare areas for installation
Rake, shovel, grade, and move dirt and other materials
Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and other landscaping tools
Assist with landscaping, excavation, and cleanup
Load and unload materials
Keep job sites clean and organized
Follow directions and work as part of a team
Perform physical labor throughout the workday
Travel to various job sites
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
Qualifications:
No previous landscaping experience required — willingness to learn is important
Must be dependable and show up ready to work
Able to perform physical labor and work outdoors
Able to lift and move materials as needed
Comfortable working in various weather conditions
Valid driver's license is a plus
Landscaping, construction, or outdoor work experience is a plus
Positive attitude and ability to work well with a small crew
