Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. We are a nano distillery that ferments and distills all of our liquor in house using local grains and products. Our tasting room features new cocktails every month to keep our guests always coming back. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable experiences for guests through exceptional service and expertly crafted drinks. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure a lively atmosphere where customers feel welcomed and valued. The ideal candidate is passionate about the food and beverage industry, possesses strong multitasking skills, and thrives in fast-paced environments such as fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve mixed drinks, tastings and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage POS system (shift4) for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for change.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe and friendly environment for all.
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
- Restock bar supplies as needed, track inventory levels, and assist with catering or special event setups when required.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant, nightclub, or banquet environment is preferred but not necessary since we don't operate like most bars.
- Proficiency with POS system is essential for smooth order processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in the food industry.
- Experience with retail math, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for accurate transactions.
- Familiarity with fine dining service standards or catering operations is a plus.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail in serving drinks and managing cash registers.
