Job Title: Social Media Manager / Growth Strategist for Online Course & Coaching Brand
Company/Brand: Art of Ascension
Location: Remote
Preferred Location: U.S.-based preferred, but open to international candidates with proven experience managing U.S.-facing or English-speaking social media accounts
Job Type: Part-time / Contract
Schedule: Flexible, with consistent weekly communication
Compensation: Based on experience
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager / Growth Strategist to help launch and manage a new productivity and personal development brand.
This is not a basic posting or scheduling role. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, organize a large content rollout, help guide platform strategy, and build a repeatable content system that supports a larger online course and coaching business.
The brand focuses on productivity, habits, behavior change, discipline, self-improvement, and personal development.
We already have a strong content foundation in place:
- 900+ short-form video scripts already written
- 150+ videos currently being edited
- Target launch date: July 1st
- Goal: at least 1 post per day across major platforms
The purpose of social media is not just to grow followers. The larger goal is to build trust, attract the right audience, and drive people toward an online course, Skool community, and coaching offer.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Create and manage a social media content calendar
- Schedule and publish short-form content across multiple platforms
- Help adapt content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and other relevant platforms
- Optimize captions, titles, hooks, descriptions, and hashtags
- Recommend posting strategy based on platform best practices
- Track content performance and provide strategic recommendations
- Help identify what content is performing well and why
- Help connect social media content to the online course, Skool community, and coaching funnel
- Organize content by theme, platform, audience, and objective
- Help build a repeatable content system for long-term growth
- Optional: review edited videos and provide creative feedback to video editors
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has experience managing social media for creators, coaches, educators, personal brands, course creators, or online businesses.
You should be someone who can do more than simply follow instructions. We are looking for someone who can bring ideas, identify blind spots, and help guide the strategy as the brand launches and grows.
Required Experience / Skills
- Proven experience managing and growing social media accounts
- Strong understanding of short-form video strategy
- Experience with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms
- Ability to create and manage a content calendar
- Strong understanding of captions, hooks, hashtags, titles, and platform-specific optimization
- Ability to review analytics and make recommendations based on data
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Experience with U.S.-based or English-speaking audiences
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a strong plus:
- Online courses
- Coaching businesses
- Skool communities
- Lead magnets
- Funnels
- Creator brands
- Personal development brands
- Productivity or self-improvement content
- Managing video editors or giving creative feedback
- Tools such as Metricool, Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, Notion, Airtable, Google Drive, Frame.io, CapCut, Descript, or similar platforms
Important Note About Remote Account Management
This role is remote. Because the brand is targeting a primarily U.S.-based / English-speaking audience, experience managing U.S.-facing social media accounts is strongly preferred.
International candidates are welcome to apply if they have a proven track record managing U.S. or English-speaking brands remotely.
We are not looking to break platform rules. We are looking for someone who can advise on safe and professional best practices for account access, posting workflows, platform trust, and long-term account health.
