Camp Hill, Pennsylvania | Headache Subspecialty Practice
Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
No evenings or weekends
Pennsylvania Headache Center is seeking an experienced medical assistant or medical-office professional for our small, physician-owned headache subspecialty practice.
We provide a focused, professional environment with extended patient visits rather than the pace of a high-volume primary care office. This position is well suited to someone seeking steady, predictable part-time work two days per week.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Answer phones, take messages, schedule appointments, and check in patients
- Collect and enter insurance information, verify coverage for medications, imaging, and Highmark patients, and collect payments and copays
- Complete prior authorizations for medications and imaging
- Email clinical notes and approved correspondence to referring physicians
- Assist with billing, supplies, and other administrative duties
- Support the daily workflow of a small medical practice
- We will train the selected candidate in our medication prior-authorization process.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Three or more years of experience as a medical assistant, medical secretary, clinical front-desk employee, LPN, or in a similar medical-office role
- Private-practice experience preferred; neurology, headache, or pain-management experience is helpful but not required
- A history of job stability, preferably including one prior position held for three or more years
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to manage several responsibilities accurately
- Willing to learn and follow our office procedures
- Careful and discreet when handling HIPAA-protected information
