Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities to address client concerns
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual health histories and goals
- Apply your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, occupational health practices, and self-care routines for ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed treatment records, including client progress notes and treatment plans in compliance with licensing standards
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and safety guidelines such as CPR certification requirements
- Provide exceptional patient service by listening attentively, addressing questions, and creating a positive experience that encourages repeat visits
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Massage Therapist in accordance with state or local regulations
- Proven experience in massage therapy, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy techniques
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage
- Experience with pain management techniques and occupational health practices preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients empathetically
- CPR certification is required; additional certifications in med spa treatments or occupational health are a plus
- Prior experience working in med spas or wellness centers is advantageous but not mandatory
