Part-Time Maintenance Director
Location: Senior Living Community – Madison, WI

Position Summary
The Part-Time Maintenance Director is responsible for helping keep the community safe, clean, and in good working order. This position performs basic maintenance, coordinates repairs as needed, and responds to routine maintenance requests from residents and staff. The Maintenance Director also helps ensure the building remains in compliance with applicable state regulations by maintaining required records and completing routine inspections.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of the building and grounds.
- Monitor heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs that require specialized service.
- Help maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salting walkways, and basic landscaping.
- Keep maintenance supplies and equipment organized.
- Maintain required maintenance logs, inspection records, and other documentation needed for state regulations and community operations.
- Help ensure the building, equipment, and life safety systems remain in good standing and compliant with applicable state and local regulations.
- Work with community leadership during inspections and address maintenance-related items as needed.
- Follow all community safety policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
- Good problem-solving skills and dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience is helpful but not required.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with flexible hours based on the needs of the community. Some on-call availability for maintenance emergencies may be required.
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
