As a Security Officer Security Screening in Rockville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and belongings, and support a professional, welcoming environment through strong communication and attention to detail. Job Schedule:
What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.

Screen employees, visitors, and contractors entering the location by following posted screening protocols and reporting unusual items, behaviors, and/or incidents to site leadership.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and supporting security-related response procedures.

Monitor entry points, verify credentials or identification as directed by site policy, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions, assisting with order maintenance, and communicating concerns through proper channels.
Minimum Requirements:

Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.

Be at least 21 years of age.

X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

A guard card/license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
