Overview
We are seeking a licensed commercial real estate appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a CGRE license in New Jersey. You should be comfortable working as a fee appraiser / independent contractor. You should have appraisal experience across industrial, retail and multifamily properties or be willing to learn. You should be comfortable completing the property inspection within a 2 hour drive of your home/ office location. As a fee appraiser, you earn a percentage of the assigned job fee. The opportunity is best suited for someone willing to work under an MAI designated lead appraiser. We are willing to help you expand your skill set and competencies or welcome an experience appraiser looking for more work.
Responsibilities
- Competent to complete a commercial real estate appraisal
- Experienced in retail, industrial and multifamily
- Willing to learn other asset classes
- Team oriented to collaborate across multiple assignments simultaneously
- Skilled in valuation software, advanced excel and word templates
- Willing to learn or is experienced in LightBox
- Advanced writing and analytical skills
- Contact clients, real estate agents, local municipalities and others to gather necessary information needed to support the appraisal work.
- Mentored by lead MAI appraiser
Qualifications
- Licensed Certified General Real Estate Appraiser
- Excellent written communication and analytical skills for effective financial analysis and report writing.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Diligent in meeting deadlines and assignment requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Collaborative style working in a small appraisal group
