Job title: Housekeeper/Dietary Aide
Schedules Available: Part-time 2, 24 hours per pay period; shifts/hours vary
Weekend rotation: every 3rd weekend
Holiday rotation: Holiday rotation required - double pay for worked holidays
Position Summary:
The Housekeeper/Dietary Associate - Terrace Heights position performs housekeeping and dietary duties at Terrace Heights Retirement Community.
Position Responsibilities:

Cleans apartment-follows cleaning schedule as outlines; daily duties can include vacuuming floors, emptying wastebaskets, changing linen and making bed and dusting furniture, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens. Cleans at tenant request.

Cleans bathroom-daily duties include mopping the floor, scrubbing the toilet, tub, basin, and counter; replacing towels, soap and toilet paper.

Cleans kitchen-daily duties include cleaning counter top, checking and cleaning refrigerator and microwave if required.

Performs assigned tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces like counters, emptying trash, and other duties as necessary to assist in cleaning lobby, halls,aviary, and common areas.

Housekeeping duties as follows; collecting soiled laundry, sorting laundry, washing/extracting and routine finishing tasks (folding, spreading, ironing, stacking, etc.).

Orients and instructs new workers. Trains new workers in the use of supplies by demonstrating use and explaining operating techniques in order to improve production and maintain work flow

Inspects clothing articles for cleanliness. Routes those not meeting standards for rewashing.

Washes dishes, glassware, flatware and pots/pans using dishwasher or by hand and places clean dishes in storage areas.

Stock supplies such as food, dishes and utensils in serving stations, cupboards and refrigerators.

Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.

Assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking or serving as needed.

Picks up meals at hospital using private vehicle and transport to Terrace Heights building.

Keep accurate records.

Reports supply and equipment needs to supervisor for replenishing. Maintains equipment used in performing duties. Reports wear and defects furnishing structure and equipment to supervisor.

Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Six months of related work experience preferred.

Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Valid drivers license and personal vehicle.

Willingness to weekends and holidays, as assigned.
