Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) student and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental and neurodevelopmental disorders. Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support clients’ developmental goals.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene, fostering independence and confidence.
- Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to ensure effective treatment adjustments.
- Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching communication skills, social interactions, and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring secure handling of medical records and documentation.
- Engage in ongoing training related to autism spectrum disorders support, behavioral health practices, and ethical standards outlined in the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or enrolled as a BCBA student actively working toward certification.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred; home-based behavioral experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education strategies.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving functional independence.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation procedures, and medical records management is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, patient care, and professional growth within behavioral health settings.
