Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field IT Service Technician to support on-site technical service operations. This role focuses on the installation, servicing, and support of IT equipment—including PCs, interactive panels, AV systems, and classroom technology—while ensuring high-quality service delivery and strong customer relationships, particularly within K–12 school districts.
The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation and a proactive, customer-focused approach. This position requires significant travel within assigned school districts across Texas, including but not limited to San Antonio, Austin, Round Rock, and the Corpus Christi area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT equipment (Chromebooks, laptops, desktops, interactive panels, AV systems, and other educational technology).
- Coordinate daily technician schedules, assign service tickets, and ensure prompt, high-quality resolution of service requests
- Provide support for complex technical issues, including hands-on troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Accurately document field activities, including service reports, installation checklists, and customer acknowledgments.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to execute large-scale IT deployments and classroom technology rollouts.
- Maintain proper handling and tracking of equipment, tools, and parts used during service activities.
- Communicate effectively with school district personnel and administrators to ensure service expectations are met.
- Follow all company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations during fieldwork.
- Travel extensively across assigned territories in Texas to meet customer needs.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications
- Ability to drive cargo van
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of IT field service or technical support experience.
- Hands-on experience with computer hardware, networking, software installations, and audiovisual systems in a school or enterprise environment.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and coordination abilities.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Effective communicator with strong customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in ticketing systems, remote support tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physically capable of lifting and transporting IT equipment and tools as needed.
- Ability to drive cargo van and 16-foot truck
