Compass Truck Sales is looking for a Basic Diesel Truck & Trailer Technician to perform routine maintenance and general repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This position is ideal for someone with mechanical experience who can perform basic repairs and wants to grow their skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM services)
- Inspect trucks and trailers for needed repairs
- Perform basic engine, brake, suspension, and drivetrain repairs
- Repair trailer systems (lights, brakes, tires, doors, etc.)
- Replace worn or damaged components
- Assist with general shop repairs
- Maintain clean and safe work area
- Follow repair orders and procedures
- Work with team members to complete jobs
Qualifications
- Basic diesel or mechanical experience preferred
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Dependable attendance
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
