Duties
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
- Supervise and motivate retail sales teams to meet and exceed sales targets through effective coaching and training.
- Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and purchasing to optimize product availability.
- Handle payroll processing, cash handling, cashiering duties, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations with accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on safety, security, and store procedures while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Support shift management by coordinating schedules, supervising staff during shifts, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, inventory management, and operational tasks.
- Proficiency in POS systems, retail math calculations, budgeting, and basic bookkeeping practices.
- Exceptional customer service skills paired with phone etiquette and effective communication abilities.
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly valued for engaging diverse customer bases.
- Skilled in negotiation, marketing strategies, merchandising techniques, and sales management to boost store performance.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently through time management and organizational skills.
