Duties
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring smooth instructional flow
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to promote a safe and respectful learning environment
- Support curriculum development and curriculum implementation aligned with school standards
- Engage students through age-appropriate activities in literacy, math, early childhood education, and other subjects
- Communicate regularly with school staff and parents about student progress and classroom needs
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences
- Follow school policies, mandated reporting laws, and child safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Experience working with children across various age groups
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to adapt instruction based on individual student needs, including those with autism or special education requirements
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and parents
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional implementation
- Prior classroom experience in private or public schools preferred
- Understanding of childhood development principles and literacy education best practices
- Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds is highly valued
