Position Summary
The RAD-T provides direct client support within IOP and PHP settings, assisting in the delivery of structured therapeutic programming, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and promoting client engagement in recovery-focused services.
Pay Range: $18–$25 per hour (DOE)
This role works closely with clinical staff to support treatment implementation, facilitate groups under supervision, and assist clients in building recovery skills and emotional regulation strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct client supervision and support within IOP and PHP programming
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
- Facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducational and process groups under clinical supervision
- Support clients in developing and applying coping skills and recovery tools
- Monitor client participation, behavior, and overall engagement in treatment
- Communicate client observations and concerns to clinical staff
- Assist with intake, orientation, and program transitions
- Support crisis intervention and de-escalation within scope of practice
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, nursing staff, and leadership team members
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care coordination
- Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and program policies
Qualifications
- RAD-T certification required (or active registration per state requirements)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred
- Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or residential/outpatient settings preferred
- Familiarity with IOP and PHP levels of care strongly preferred
- Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation skills preferred
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
