SuperMoss is a leading manufacturer and distributor of premium natural moss, bark, and decorative horticultural products serving retailers, garden centers, florists, and growers throughout North America. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager Assistant to support our warehouse operations and management team in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager Assistant serves as the right hand to the Warehouse Manager by providing administrative, operational, and communication support across warehouse, shipping, purchasing, HR coordination, and facility management. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Training and on-going mentorship will be provided by Warehouse Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with supervising daily warehouse and shipping operations.
- Organize warehouse office records, emails, phone calls, chats, and operational documentation.
- Support daily operational priorities and follow up on assigned action items.
- Process shipments for parcels and LTLs to support administrative team.
- Assist walk-in drivers to verify loads and notify leads on accurate loading instructions.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using Microsoft PowerPoint to document warehouse processes and training materials.
- Support Warehouse Foremen with operational questions, scheduling, and coordination.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and messages on behalf of the Warehouse Manager.
- Review and update employee timesheets after management approval.
- Screen employment applications, contact candidates, and schedule interviews and orientations.
- Assist new hires with onboarding paperwork and agency registration after management approval.
- Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance by scheduling vendors and service providers.
- Assist with purchasing supplies, warehouse materials, and operational equipment.
- Process EDI accounts and support VIP customer dispute resolution.
- Maintain daily management checklists and operational reports.
- Schedule, host, or participate in meetings with warehouse staff, remote teams, and vendors.
- Assist with inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse documentation as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, organization, and customer service.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of warehouse, operations, logistics, or administrative experience preferred.
- Previous experience supporting warehouse management is highly desirable.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Professional phone and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with HR and operational matters.
- Experience with ERP, EDI, or warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
