Under the general direction of a Supervisory Senior Transportation Engineer, the incumbent may assist in all drainage related matters in the nine Bay Area counties of which District 4 is comprised. Duties may include: the development of drainage plans, specifications and estimates for a variety of transportation related projects; the oversight of drainage related work prepared by the Consultant to ensure it is completed in accordance with acceptable Caltran's processes and standards; and review of Encroachment Permits and CEQA submittals. The incumbent will be responsible for recognizing appropriate engineering practices and standards as set forth in the various Caltran's manuals and directives so that drainage facilities are properly planned, safely designed, and can be easily constructed and maintained.
