About the Position
We are looking for a dependable Heavy Diesel Lubrication Technician to join our maintenance team on the afternoon shift. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, lubrication services, inspections, and basic repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
The ideal candidate has experience working around heavy-duty diesel equipment, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently in a fast-paced fleet maintenance environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform PM services and scheduled maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Grease chassis, suspension, steering, driveline, fifth wheels, and other lubrication points
- Perform oil and filter changes
- Inspect vehicles for leaks, worn components, damaged parts, and safety concerns
- Check and service fluid levels
- Perform DOT and general safety inspections
- Inspect brakes, tires, wheel ends, suspension, steering, and air systems
- Replace basic wear items and perform minor repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized
- Identify additional maintenance or repair needs and communicate findings to the lead technician or supervisor
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience working on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or diesel equipment preferred
- Basic knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and inspections
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL is a plus
- Previous fleet maintenance experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and handle heavy parts and equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work underneath vehicles for extended periods
- Ability to work in a shop environment and around heavy equipment
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, jacks, lifts, and other shop equipment
