Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service needs.
- Explain automotive repairs and maintenance procedures clearly, ensuring customers understand their options.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using dealership management software, including parts, labor, and additional services.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
- Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper records.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business through excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repair, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, suspension systems, tire service, and auto body repair.
- Experience working with automotive estimating tools and service writing software.
- Proven ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes involving transmissions and other complex systems is a plus.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities.
- Mechanical experience or mechanic background is advantageous for understanding technical aspects of vehicle repairs. Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
