A DFCU loan clerk assists members with their loan requests, while providing clerical and administrative support needed to process and close member loans.

Takes member loan applications and prepares them for review by a Loan Officer; revisits with the Loan Officer to determine status. Processes approved loans and sets up date and time to close the loan and make disbursements.

Ensures timely review of Indirect Lending loan applications by regularly monitoring the Indirect Lending CUSO/DFCU web portal. Prepare, examine, and fund loan documents within the Indirect Lending CUSO/DFCU web portal, including communicating with auto dealers and others to obtain information necessary to complete and fund auto loan approvals. Provides the necessary information to the underwriting staff, and returning loan decision information to the appropriate parties. Act as a liaison between dealers and Dannemora Federal Credit Union. Answer questions, coordinate loan details, and make and return phone calls as required. Follow up on unfunded loans by contacting dealer sales staff and other to resolve issues. Input completed loan packages as received from Indirect Lending CUSO.

Experience: Six months to two years of credit union experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, honesty, and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills: Must have good communication skills. Ten key calculator, keyboard and computer skills.
