EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
Located in scenic rural Western Pennsylvania, Armstrong County Community Action Partnership (ACCAP) is a respected 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1965 and one of the region’s leading providers of comprehensive human services.
Guided by its mission: “We empower individuals and families in Armstrong County and surrounding areas through resource mobilization, sustainable solutions, and support, thus fostering self-sufficiency and community strength,” ACCAP is seeking a visionary, collaborative, and mission-driven Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter of service, growth, and community impact.

Strategic Leadership & Mission Advancement
· Provide visionary leadership that advances ACCAP’s mission and strategic priorities.
· Lead strategic planning efforts focused on measurable community impact and organizational sustainability.
· Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish long-range organizational goals.
Board Governance & Organizational Oversight
· Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors.
· Support governance initiatives, policy development, and organizational planning.
Operational & Program Leadership
· Oversee the daily operations and administration of ACCAP’s programs and services.
· Ensure programs remain compliant with funding and regulatory requirements.
Financial Management & Resource Development
· Provide leadership and oversight for fiscal management and budgeting.
· Lead fundraising, donor engagement, and external development initiatives.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
· Serve as the chief ambassador and spokesperson for ACCAP.
· Develop collaborative relationships with community leaders and stakeholders.
Human Resources & Organizational Leadership
· Promote a positive and supportive workplace culture.
· Support employee engagement, development, and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Social Service field.
· A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience within nonprofit or human services organizations.
· Demonstrated experience in organizational leadership, fiscal oversight, and personnel management.
· Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and public communication skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
