Summary:
The Store Manager at Karma’s Coffee House is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, leading the house team, and ensuring a consistently high-quality guest experience. This includes in-house service as well as mobile services such as the coffee cart, catering, and off-site events. The Store Manager plays a critical role in maintaining service standards, managing inventory, coordinating staffing, and supporting brand growth through light marketing and community engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations
- Oversee in-house coffee house operations, ensuring smooth service throughout the day
- Execute and monitor opening and closing procedures
- Maintain a calm, professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure alignment with brand values and guest experience goals
Mobile Services & Events
- Coordinate all mobile operations, including the coffee cart, catering deliveries, and off-site events
- Schedule and staff mobile services in coordination with event needs
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown when applicable
- Ensure consistency of service and product quality across all locations
Staff Management
- Hire, train, and supervise house and mobile event staff
- Build and sustain a culture of accountability, hospitality, and teamwork
- Manage staff schedules, shift coverage, and team communication
- Conduct performance check-ins and facilitate team development
Customer Experience
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional service and hospitality
- Respond to guest feedback and resolve service issues quickly and professionally
- Ensure team members provide informed recommendations and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
- Support a consistent, memorable customer experience across house and mobile settings
Inventory & Ordering
- Monitor supply levels for both house and mobile services
- Manage purchasing, receiving, and storage of coffee, pastries, and supplies
- Track product usage to minimize waste and manage costs effectively
- Ensure compliance with food safety storage and rotation standards
POS & Cash Handling
- Manage point-of-sale systems, including daily sales reconciliation and deposits
- Train staff on payment systems and handling procedures
- Oversee mobile POS functionality for off-site events
Cleanliness & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines at all service points
- Maintain a clean and organized house, prep space, and mobile equipment
- Complete regular walkthroughs and enforce sanitation checklists
Marketing & Brand Engagement
- Collaborate with COO to implement promotions and seasonal campaigns
- Support the execution of events, in-house signage, and local outreach
- Contribute to the house’s social media content by sharing updates, photos, or guest highlights
- Represent Karma’s Coffee House at community events and foster local partnerships
Team Collaboration
- Conduct regular team meetings and pre-shift huddles
- Communicate clearly with kitchen, bar, and mobile teams
- Participate in planning sessions for menu updates, promotions, and service improvements
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
