American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.

Work in a 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) focused on Med/Surg patient care — travel nurses will be providing direct patient care, not educational duties

Mixed Med/Surg patient population with high acuity and complex cases

Patient ratio of 5–6:1

12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
-
Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Block scheduling is generally not approved

No on-call requirements

Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required

Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or large, high-volume hospital required

Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-acuity situations

Candidates with experience limited to small or low-acuity hospitals will not be considered

This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center known for complex, high-volume, and diverse cases — candidates should be prepared for an intense work environment
