American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with prior travel experience, requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ICU nursing experience.

Work in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit of a community hospital setting
-
Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
-
Day shift schedule (3x12 Hours, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Weekend shifts required
-
On-call responsibilities required

Float to Med Surg within scope as needed
-
Open to accommodating block scheduling

Meditech charting experience preferred
-
Active RN license (OK or compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
-
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Community hospital experience required
-
LTAC experience preferred
-
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
-
Additional certifications: CPI, ISTAT, and NIHSS (some may be preferred)

Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
-
Skilled in care of ventilated patients, chest tube assistance, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
-
Experience with cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip titration, and continuous IV sedation
-
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care
-
Experience with post cardiac surgery care, cardiac catheterization, sheath removal, and VAD management preferred

Experience with CVA/acute stroke management preferred
-
Two references required, pending references accepted at time of consideration

Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients, including those with multisystem organ dysfunction and complex cardiac needs
-
Local candidates accepted only within a 45-mile radius of the facility
