American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment at an outpatient imaging center in Reno, NV, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and familiarity with GE or Philips scanners.

Outpatient imaging center setting in Reno, NV

MRI department serving a facility that operates as the region's only Level II Trauma Center, with stroke accreditation, 800 inpatient beds, and 80 ER beds
-
Extremely busy, fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius with volume comparable to a Level I trauma center

Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts with rotating days of the week and varied shifts, including possible graveyard hours

On-call shifts are required

Floating within the organization up to competency level may be required

Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts based on department needs

EMR: Epic — training provided during orientation or candidates may test out

Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience

ARRT required; MRI certification (R.T., R.M.R.I.T.) preferred

BLS certification (AHA only)

Experience with GE or Philips MRI scanners required

License required if applicable

Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Produce diagnostic MRI scans and assist radiologists and referring physicians with MRI procedures

Must be competent in advanced MRI physics and technical operation of MRI scanning equipment

Must be able to provide age-appropriate care for patients ranging from infants to geriatric

Facility features 3T MRI technology, the first dedicated PET/CT scanner, and Biplane Angiography in the region
-
A minimum of 2 major holidays will be required during the assignment

Blocked scheduling is not allowed

Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with your profile — the facility does not extend contracts to compensate for RTO

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have a 13-week break after their last contract before being eligible to return
