Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate each child’s health status.
- Identify changes in patient conditions and communicate findings promptly to the care team and physicians.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in accordance with physician orders and PPEC guidelines.
Medication & Treatment Administration
- Administer medications safely via oral, enteral, inhalation, injection, and IV routes while maintaining strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Manage pediatric medical equipment including feeding pumps, oxygen therapy, suction devices, and monitoring equipment.
- Provide care for children with complex medical needs including tracheostomy care, gastrostomy tube feedings, and ventilator support as applicable.
Clinical Procedures
- Perform procedures such as c tube feeding management, wound care, ostomy care, and
- Maintain sterile and aseptic techniques in all clinical interventions.
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately document patient care, treatments, and assessments in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, physician orders, and PPEC standards of care.
Care Coordination
- Collaborate with therapists, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support each child’s medical and developmental needs.
Family Education & Support
- Educate parents and caregivers on medication administration, disease management, infection prevention, and home care strategies.
- Provide compassionate support to families navigating complex pediatric medical conditions.
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
