Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our facilities. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting the overall upkeep of our manufacturing or residential environments. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess a strong foundation in facilities maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical work, and customer service. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform electrical repairs, including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure automation systems operate smoothly.
- Carry out welding tasks and mechanical repairs using appropriate tools and techniques to repair or modify equipment.
- Support residential painting projects and general facilities upkeep to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory.
- Supervise or assist junior maintenance staff during complex repairs or projects, demonstrating leadership and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing to diagnose faults accurately.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from manufacturing teams or residents, providing excellent customer service while resolving issues efficiently.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules for compliance and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC systems.
- Electrical experience including wiring, circuit analysis, troubleshooting with schematics, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with CMMS software for managing work orders and maintenance logs.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical schematics and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Competence in using testing tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
