The Data Management Technician is responsible for the coordination, maintenance, and integrity of Corporate & Continuing Education academic and administrative data. This position manages the development and maintenance of class schedules, course builds, maintain faculty assignments, part-time contracts, payroll documentation, and course catalog information within the College’s student information systems. The position serves as a technical resource for Corporate & Continuing Education operations by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of institutional data while supporting course scheduling, reporting, and academic record processes.
Working collaboratively with the Corporate & Continuing Education Registrar, Deans, Director, Department Chairs, faculty, and administrative staff. The Data Management Technician supports the effective operation of Corporate & Continuing Education programs through data management, system maintenance, process improvement, and technical support.

Duties
Essential Duties—Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Build and maintain Corporate & Continuing Education classes within the College’s student information system, including course dates, times, instructors, locations, fees, prerequisites, and enrollment parameters.
- Coordinate the preparation and processing of part-time faculty contracts, payroll documentation, and electronic timesheets to ensure timely and accurate compensation.
- Initiate and route employment and payroll documents through DocuSign for required approvals.
- Maintain accurate academic and operational data within College’s student information system while ensuring compliance with institutional policies, state reporting requirements, and audit standards.
- Upload academic terms and scheduling information to 25Live and maintain room scheduling data.
- Process class revisions, cancellations, additions, instructor changes, and curriculum updates in collaboration with faculty, Department Chairs, Directors and Deans.
- Generate reports for Corporate & Continuing Education leadership, faculty, and
- audit reviews.
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflow documentation to support operational consistency.
- Assist with the preparation of the academic catalog/ tabloid.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to faculty and staff regarding scheduling, registration, payroll, and data management processes.
- Participate in system implementations, software upgrades, testing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Office Administration, Information Systems, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience using computer applications and database software, preferably within higher education.
- Experience with student information systems (Ellucian, Banner, or Colleague preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
- Experience in academic scheduling, curriculum management, payroll processing, or institutional data management is highly desirable.
