Tom's Florist is a locally owned flower shop looking for a dependable, friendly person to join our team.
This is an entry-level position, and no floral experience is required. We provide step-by-step training and will teach you everything you need to know.
This position is ideal for someone looking for their first professional job, a homeschool graduate, or someone returning to the workforce who enjoys daytime hours and wants to learn new skills in a friendly, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Learn
As part of our training program, you'll gradually learn how to:
- Open the shop each morning
- Welcome customers and answer phones
- Prepare customer orders for our floral designer
- Care for fresh flowers
- Prepare containers and gift items
- Inflate balloons
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked
- Create gift baskets
- Assist with inventory
- Upload products to our website
- Learn the daily operations of a successful flower shop
We teach one step at a time, so you won't be expected to know everything on your first day.

Qualifications
- Friendly attitude

- Able to lift up to 30 pounds and climb on stools
- Able to stand for most of the workday
- Willing to learn and accept feedback
Customer service or retail experience is helpful but not required.
