Job Overview:
We are currently seeking reliable and professional Armed Security Officers to support transit operations across multiple high-traffic locations. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for passengers, employees, and property within transit centers, bus routes, and rail stations. This role requires a strong presence, quick decision-making, and the ability to handle situations in a fast-paced public setting.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol transit stations, platforms, and surrounding areas
- Monitor passenger activity and enforce transit rules and regulations
- Respond to disturbances, emergencies, and suspicious behavior
- Provide customer service and assist passengers as needed
- Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Work closely with transit staff and local law enforcement
Requirements:
- Active DCJS Armed Security License (required)
- Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to remain calm in high-traffic/public environments
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability
