POSITION PURPOSE:
The Training Assistant is responsible for ensuring all associates are trained in all aspects of their individual position. Complete and accurate documentation of training performed is a vital, essential part of the Training Assistant’s position. Training Assistant may spend up to 60% of their time working with associates on the floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinate with HR Administrator and Production Supervisors for new hire try-outs. Evaluate applicant for suitability in production environment. Be the liaison between supervisors, trainees and new hires.
- Consults with plant managers and supervisors to assess training needs. Develops, implements and delivers training programs for varying levels of individuals within plant to include new hire and forklift training.
- Develops and maintains continual education support materials to be used for reference once training has been completed. Documents completed training in the Alchemy System. Documents procedures for the plant standard operation processes and develops training letters.
- Continually evaluates training progress and training procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and update curriculum as needed. Develop key performance indicators to report on training objectives.
- Facilitate new hire orientation.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
