Responsible for: Providing one-to-one or up to one-to-four staff to participant ratio job training for workers placed into community integrated supported employment or volunteer work sites. Develop effective communication – work cooperatively with community employers, employees, individuals and other supported employment program staff.
Hours of work: This position requires a flexible schedule including weekends and some evening based on the needs of the agency
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Training Responsibilities:
- Work with the resident supported by MFTI to learn skills to be successful on the job, learning the job, develop natural supports and any other skills for employment.
- Driving is an essential part of job duties.
- Work with residents to be job-ready, practice interview skills, and help build confidence along with self-advocacy skills for the consumer.
- Assist residents, when appropriate, to identify natural job supports.
- Maintain individual daily case notes, write daily emails, and any reports needed.
- Responsible for maintaining daily job coach notes for assigned consumers.
- Work and train residents to maintain quality control and safety standards on job sites.
- Assist residents, when appropriate, to learn and follow all employer policies and procedures.
- Provide support to assist residents to learn processes to complete timecards, time off, etc.
- Assisting residents with their job/work needs, such as driving the resident to and from work.
· Train and work with residents, when necessary, to learn how to interact successfully with others.
- Work with residents to find ways to get to where they need to go (as it pertains to their job) and provide training when necessary.
- Promote good public relations in the community both for the agency and the people supported by the agency.
· Clean driving record and proof of insurance.
· Clear criminal background.
· First Aid certification
