The Hotel Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the hotel while ensuring exceptional guest service and operational excellence. This hands-on leadership position oversees Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Restaurant/Bar operations, stepping into departments as needed to support daily business demands. Essential ResponsibilitiesOperations
- Assist the General Manager with the daily operation of the hotel.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain exceptional guest satisfaction by resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor service quality throughout all departments and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and payroll oversight.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of team members.
- Prepare for and assist with brand quality assurance inspections.
Front Office
- Supervise Front Desk operations to ensure efficient guest check-in/check-out experiences.
- Assist with reservations, room assignments, guest requests, and problem resolution.
- Train associates on guest service standards and operational procedures.
- Monitor cash handling procedures and daily financial reporting.
Housekeeping
- Assist with room inspections to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are met.
- Support housekeeping staffing, scheduling, and daily room assignments.
- Monitor inventory levels of linens, guest supplies, and cleaning products.
- Ensure public areas remain clean and well maintained.
Restaurant & Bar Operations
- Oversee restaurant and bar operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure food and beverage service meets company and brand expectations.
- Support inventory control, ordering, and cost management.
- Assist with scheduling and supervising restaurant and bar staff.
- Address guest concerns regarding food and beverage service.
Leadership
- Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Coach employees through daily interactions and formal feedback.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in:

- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent guest service and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with hotel property management systems preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb stairs as needed.
- Must be able to respond quickly to operational needs throughout the property.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hotel brand experience (Hilton, Marriott, Choice, Best Western, or similar).
- Food Handler and BASSET/Responsible Alcohol Service certification (or ability to obtain).
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are met efficiently
- Manage guest relations by addressing concerns proactively and ensuring a positive experience throughout their stay
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, reservations, and service requests to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven hotel experience with a strong background in hospitality or resort management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Knowledge of front desk operations, guest services, house keeping and hotel management software
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster clear interactions with guests and staff
